After growing up in a family residential painting business with locations across Canada and the United States, Jonathan Sarafinchin made it a lifelong commitment to this craft. Jon’s natural passion for painting led him to strike off on his own, and in doing so, founded a very successful student painting franchise that he ran for four years, and now, Encore Painting Ltd., one of Canada’s Top Painting & Decorating Companies for 3 years in a row, as voted by Homestars.
Since inception, it has been Jon’s goal to grow into a leading painting company in Toronto, Ontario. Encore Painting began with just 12 painters and several managers. Over the last twelve years, Encore has expanded services across the GTA and employs over 23 painters and 3 key management staff. Encore proudly serves the Greater Toronto Area including City of Toronto, York Region, Peel Region, Durham Region and Halton Region.

Encore’s management team consists of founder Jon, Alex, and Lauren, who all play an important role in advancing the company and serving its clients in Toronto and the surroundings. Alex is the operations manager and has been with Encore Painting since 2012. Alex and Jon both came from the student painting backgrounds with the same company. Once joining forces, the company began to grow and develop into what it is today. Lauren joined the team in 2019 in an administrative role, and quickly grew into an important leader. Lauren now assists with estimates and runs several on-site production crews.
